Show your Support!!
AES wants to thank you for all of the support that has been shown for the Going Gold campaign. 1060 "Going Gold" shirts have been sold, and all Houston County high schools are participating by painting gold ribbons on their football fields show their support as well.  Also, Ashford Rec and Cottonwood Rec are wearing gold ribbons this month to spread awareness of childhood cancer. This month there is also a Whipping Childhood Cancer campaign starting to piggyback off of the ALS ice bucket challenge.  In this challenge, you are asked to take a pie to the face and pay $7 to the childhood cancer research fund of your choice.  On Thursday, September 11, AES will be taking the Whipping Childhood Cancer Challenge.  Mr. Sellers and several other teachers have volunteered to take a pie in the face at a pep rally that afternoon. How FUN!! Also, our Jr. Beta students will be going around to the AES classrooms to sale gold ribbon tattoos and gold beads on Thursday, September 11. Pep Rally will take place at 2:00 Thursday, September 11 and Gold Ribbon Tattoos and Gold Beads will be sold that morning as well for $1.00 each. All support and contribution are greatly appreciated and accepted in support of Childhood Cancer. All monies raised will be going to the Childhood Cancer Research at Children's Hospital of Alabama. Thank you!!
